Pan Macmillan worked with MMT Digital to launch multiple market landing pages for a large number of their publications
The brief…
Pan Macmillan are one of the UK’s largest publishers. They approached MMT Digital with a desire to modernise their main website and roll out a number of microsites on the same platform for various publications.
The publisher wanted a web platform that could deliver an excellent user experience to the general consumer as well as for booksellers via a secured area.
Pan Macmillan wanted to be able to easily roll out various marketing landing pages for certain key titles and eventually take over this process and do it internally without the need for our help.
What we did…
We made the main Pan Macmillan website and the subsequent microsites fully responsive to ensure maximum reach and an excellent user experience on all devices. We also integrated large internal databases and system containing valuable customer data. We did all of this using the CMS platform Kentico.
Although we rolled out the same template for the microsites it’s imperative that consumers get a different experience for each publication.
We achieved this by implementing a flexible content layout and applying creative content editable tools.
Existing members can access the secure login area by using Facebook login details and new members can even register via Facebook.
Once registered, all payment and delivery details are saved so that the user does not have the inconvenience of retyping them every time they make a purchase.
The results…
– Eleven per cent decrease in bounce rate from the homepage
– Twelve per cent increase in time spent on the homepage
