Mocha Salt Hires RHP For Digital Brief

Australian Menswear brand, Mocha Salt, has appointed Red Hot Penny with handling their marketing and PR campaigns. The brief was won following a strategic proposal by Red Hot Penny’s Digital Marketing Director.

Mocha Salt’s owners established the brand to create their vision of truly transitional swim shorts in their hometown of Sydney, Australia. Their aim was to design and produce understated and functional shorts that are well-suited to the great outdoors, yet styled for city life.

Red Hot Penny engaged conversation with Mocha Salt’s founder as they saw huge potential in the brand. In the past, the brand’s PR outreach had only covered Australian publications. Red Hot Penny believed their product would be a huge success in the UK, with the correct approach and considering the seasonal aspect of the product.

The creative ecommerce agency pitched their plan to Mocha Salt and won the account with their strategy of bringing the brand to the UK market.

This strategy includes a holistic marketing approach covering social media, digital PR and search engine optimisation. With options for more potential campaigns in the peak UK summer season.

Mocha Salt’s Founder, Rik Van Donk said of the appointment:

“We’re very excited to be working with Red Hot Penny on expanding the reach of our brand both locally in Australia and overseas. Online retail is a fast-growing part of today’s apparel business and we believe Red Hot Penny have the people, tools and strategy to take us to the next level.”
