On Monday 25th April 2016, Rusmira Bukić, Presales Consultant at Green River Media, attended an award ceremony for the ‘Moja Praksa’ internship programme that was held at The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) to award students of the fifth cycle of the programme.
As part of the Partnership for Innovation project funded by USAID, Moja Praksa is an internship model that has been designed to give students the opportunity to work on projects at local companies in the IT and communication sector whilst being mentored by an industry professional. The programme takes place in term cycles, with the goal being to provide unemployed, young people with practical knowledge and experience to better prepare them for the world of work.
During the ceremony students of the fifth cycle were awarded with a certificate for their hard work, whilst students from the first cycle attended to proudly present to the audience the completed projects they’d worked on.
In addition to the IUS, a handful of companies and institutions which participated in the first cycle of the project were also awarded, Green River Media being one of them. Accepting the award on our behalf was Rusmira:
I was honoured to receive the Award of Appreciation on behalf of Green River Media. It was wonderful to be surrounded by young people who are eager to learn and fight for their future. As a former teacher myself, I appreciate the opportunity of quality knowledge transfer and its successful outcome. I will be more than happy to see more students in our company in the future.
Green River Media believe the programme is an excellent opportunity for young, ambitious individuals and it was a great honour to host and teach the students placed with us, as well as to accept our Award of Appreciation.
