Chubb Corp has been ranked first for their digital maturity beating competition from larger rivals such as AIG and Bupa.
The results were revealed by Kagool in the 2019 Insurance Digital Census. The digital census evaluates how the UK’s top 47 insurance companies are performing digitally. The research reviewed each insurers’ digital maturity based on eight key aspects which when combined provide their overall digital maturity ranking.
Chubb gained full marks for their mobile optimisation, content, email, and utility. Legal & General were ranked second followed by the National House-Building Council in third. The top three insurers were ranked 8th, 25th and 40th respectively for their Non-Life Net written premiums showing size doesn’t necessarily mean everything.
“The Insurance market is extremely competitive now. Having a well-presented online presence can help organisations gain new customers and grow faster than the competition. In 2019 it is imperative not to underestimate the power of digital. Even Chubb have a lot of room for improvement.” Craig Johnson, lead author of the report and Head of Digital Strategy, Kagool
