Mention Me, the leading referral marketing platform has announced a partnership with Taggstar, the leader in social proof messaging for eCommerce. The agreement brings together the benefits of social proof messaging and advocacy marketing.
Online brands using Mention Me, will be able to display product buying and viewing trends, and reviews, to increase their conversions and sales, as a result of the new partnership.
Taggstar’s software collects and displays aggregated, real-time shopping trends, reviews and stock levels based on eCommerce customers’ online behaviour. Working with Mention Me’s referral marketing platform, the messages will now highlight what a customers’ peers have bought, including popularity, scarcity, promotional messages; encouraging the referrer to refer and the referred friend to purchase.
Mention Me has a natural affinity with Taggstar, both platforms focusing on personalisation and the psychology of social capital to boost customer acquisition and retention. With trust in traditional media at an all time low, there has never been a better time for brands to take advantage of the value of a customer recommendation, backed up with the social proof to reinforce the buying decision.
“Providing social proof is often named as the most effective tactic in driving online conversion and sales. Our A/B testing has measured impressive conversion uplift across hundreds of experiments for the largest eCommerce websites, and we’re excited about boosting online results for Mention Me clients.” Marjorie Leonidas, CEO, Taggstar
Mention Me is a marketing technology platform, which enables brands to get their existing customers to refer their friends, typically delivering high-value new customers. The business completed its Series A funding raise in July this year with Eight Road Ventures.
“Our clients use our referral platform to harness the power of word of mouth for customer acquisition, recognising that a friend’s referral is one of the most powerful purchase triggers that there is. Taggstar’s social proof messaging platform is very much aligned. We’re really excited about the potential of working together for our clients in this evolving trust marketing landscape.” Andy Cockburn, CEO, Mention Me
