Cumberland Building Society has beaten competition from larger rivals such as Nationwide and Yorkshire Building Society to be ranked number one for digital maturity.
The results were revealed in Kagool‘s 2018 Building Societies Services Digital Census. The digital census evaluates how the UK’s top 40 building societies are performing digitally. The research reviewed each building societies’ digital maturity based on eight key aspects which when combined provide their overall digital maturity ranking.
“Cumberland being number one goes to show that bigger budgets doesn’t necessarily guarantee market leadership. Although many of the building societies scored highly there is still lots of room for improvement across the industry if they want to stop new Fintech organisations eroding their market share further.” Craig Johnson, Head of Digital Strategy at Kagool and lead author of the report
The report includes:
- The Digital Maturity League Table
- Comparative analysis of the eight core aspects required for digital success
- Valuable insights and statistics to highlight digital transformation
- Recommendations for improvement and implementing best practice.
