Vector Watch Appoints RHP

Ground-breaking smartwatch brand Vector has appointed creative ecommerce agency Red Hot Penny to launch their product and support their growth in an on-going project.

Vector is founded by people who are passionate about innovation and watch design. With proven track records in the watch, software development and wearable tech industries as well as being unsatisfied with what is currently out there on the market, they started to re-imagine the smartwatch. Vector’s purpose is to simplify lives in an increasingly complex world.

The concept quickly attracted ex-CEO and President of Timex, Joe Santana, to return to the watch world seven years on and bring this innovation to market. Joe was introduced to CTO Andrei Pitis and the Vector team in 2014, when activity in the wearables industry was beginning to gain early traction. A renowned technology entrepreneur and inventor with over two decades of experience in computer science, Andrei had been quietly working on a smartwatch for some time.

With the technology development underway, the focus shifted to creating a truly wearable and beautiful watch, with the attention to detail that transforms a piece of hardware into a desirable piece of jewellery. Vector decided to bring in Steve Jarvis who was involved in the creative direction of the Sport (Ironman) and Expedition lines at Timex Group, working to combine key industry trends with the latest cutting edge technology. From Timex, he progressed to Design Director of Nike Sport Group in 2008 in the Vision (eyewear) department, and went on to become the Senior Designer for Nike Digital Sport, as part of the team that brought the Sportswatch and hugely popular fitness tracker Nike FuelBand that launched in 2012.

Vector has launched their pre-order collection with two elegant designs that combine their ‘watch first, smart second’ style. With a multitude of unique features, the smartwatches finest selling point is its 30 day battery life.

Creative Ecommerce Agency, Red Hot Penny was introduced to the Vector team by their global logistics partner SEKO. The PR and Content teams at Red Hot Penny worked closely with Vector to ensure all relevant press were invited to their exclusive launch event, all the press releases were written perfectly as well as supporting the management of the event itself. Red Hot Penny will also be handling all digital marketing activities for the smartwatch brand including social media, SEO, PPC and Digital PR.

Red Hot Penny’s Design and Development teams designed and implemented Vector’s new responsive website where you can pre-order a select few limited edition styles and learn more about the brand. They ensured the website followed all the correct procedures and was working seamlessly ready for launch.

Vector plans to launch the brand new smartwatch in six countries including the UK, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Romania and India.

Michelle Tessaro, CFO said of the collaboration between Vector and Red Hot Penny: “Red Hot Penny were a key team member in introducing our new Vector smartwatch to the market. The contact with press was both comprehensive and all inclusive.”
