Head Of Digital Operations Services At Amaze Wins National Everywoman In Technology Award

Head of Digital operations Services at Amaze wins National Everywoman in Technology Award

Leading digital marketing, technology and commerce consultancy Amaze, is proud to announce that its Head of Digital Operations Services, Amanda Follit, has won an Everywoman in Technology Award.

At a ceremony in London’s Park Lane on 23 February 2016, Amanda was revealed as the winner of the Digital Star category, a category that recognises one woman who has made the most of the Internet and digital technology. Amanda was recognised for introducing innovation into services that traditionally are not innovative – support and process, whilst also training the first consultants in this area by coaching data intelligence staff to look at operational data not just web analytics.

“I am completely shocked and overwhelmed to have won this award, having been named amongst such an amazing list of finalists.

At the age of 18 I was homeless, living in my car by a beach in Ramsgate wondering how I would ever get on in life but after self-learning how to code and understanding technology years on I am now mentoring other women in the world of digital and technology.

I know now that it is possible to overcome any challenge and succeed, but I also know I wouldn’t have been able to do it without a huge amount of support too. I have a huge amount of gratitude for my team at Amaze who bought into and ran with my ideas, and also for Natalie Gross who is an absolute visionary and a true inspiration to me in digital. Thank you for your unwavering support and guidance.” Amanda Follit

Amanda was one of just 34 women to be named as a finalist in the sixth annual FDM Everywoman in Technology Awards in association with techUK, recognised for changing the face of technology in the UK. These women have been selected from a field of hundreds of applicants, chosen by a panel of senior technology leaders against criteria including career achievement, future potential and their commitment to supporting others in the industry.

Working with Amanda is 100 miles an hour of energy and ideas! She has had a strong belief in the new services she wanted to bring to the market and she did it. She is trailblazing for Amaze and for herself and I couldn’t be happier for her.  All of us at Amaze are extremely proud of Amanda’s achievements and thank the Everywoman awards panel for recognising her great talent.” Natalie Gross, CEO, Amaze

About Amanda Follit

In her role at Amaze, Follit is responsible for creating innovative services to help clients manage their digital estates and has even penned a white paper showing for the first time how monitoring and analysing different types of data can affect the way a web estate is run and the effect it has on the customer experience and effectiveness of an organisation’s digital footprint.

While this is a whole new way of looking at digital marketing operations, Follit has also created successful model theories for use in global organisations, helping them change their digital operations structures to make them more effective in the long-term. For example, the intelligence provided by these theories has driven significant digital operations change in a global FMCG company, with it rising in the Bowen Craggs index from 15th to 5th in one year and up to 4th in the following year.

Follit also successfully mentors a number of teams internally at Amaze and externally at other creative organisations in Liverpool and Manchester.

The Awards

The Awards champion and raise the profile of the individual women that are achieving success in their field, and the companies that are supporting them to do so. The event is preceded by the Everywoman Technology Forum – the largest UK forum for women in technology, a day of inspiration, learning and development, bringing together over 600 women who are aspiring to advance their careers or become future leaders.
