Alex spent 10 years in marketing roles across GSK. His roles included working both on consumer products and on the parent brand itself. With digital becoming an increasingly critical part of a marketers armoury, Alex jumped at the chance to lead the global digital communications team in 2015. The last two years have been a lesson in communications, inside and outside the company and an opportunity for him to apply the strategic thinking and executional rigour learned in marketing to a very different kind of role. In this time GSK have jumped up to 5th in the rankings of the world’s best corporate digital communicators thanks to a willingness to try new things, a really talented team and stakeholders who really believe in the power of digital.
