The Shard

web design

The Shard wanted to attract consumers and businesses to its new landmark in London. Rising to the challenge, Pancentric Digital built a quality website that showcased this premium property and laid the foundations for future developments.

The Challenge

Having built the largest building in Europe, the owners of the Shard wanted to promote the benefits of the building to both individual visitors and prospective business clients. In addition, they needed to establish a digital footprint that would pave the way for their wider London Bridge Quarter development.

Our Work

Pancentric’s team knew that this project was more of a place making exercise than a web build and had to reflect the benefits of the “vertical city”. They built a website that reflected the innovative use of space inside the building and showcased the apartments, hotel, restaurants, bars, and offices available.

The Results

The Shard’s owners had a high-end digital presence where one hadn’t existed before, allowing them to promote the residential and commercial spaces available. Now, Pancentric are working on the next digital phase of this significant place making project, establishing a digital presence for the wider London Bridge Quarter development.

Statistically, the results were greatly successful; The Shard has seen a 64 per cent increase in organic visibility since the launch of the site, and a 63 per cent increase in organic mobile traffic. The shard can now also boast a 36 per cent increase in overall organic sessions, and holds the #1 position for double the number of keywords.
