Nickelodeon

The Big Shot were asked by Nickelodeon UK to create an engaging and original campaign to help promote their show 100 Things To Do Before High School. Using a variety of social influencers to complete a 100 Things challenge, they directly reached the target audience and heightened awareness of the show around its preview – generating excitement and engagement with the show. The Big Shot explain how the campaign worked

Brief

100 Things To Do Before High School is a new show from Nickelodeon targeted at teen girls aged 11+. It depicts a young girl and her friends ticking off a bucket list of things to do before entering high school.

The campaign objective was to drive awareness of the new series amongst the target audience of teenage girls by partnering with vloggers to create engaging and shareable content. The Big Shot wanted to use a variety of engaging vloggers with different personalities and target audiences to create a vibrant and engaging campaign.

Strategy

After a brainstorm, we decided on the creative of each vlogger to complete a 100 Things challenge. Each challenge would be unique to the vlogger and suited to them and their target audience. The talent would upload their 100 Things challenge to their YouTube channel, driving the viewers to a competition on Nick.co.uk. We also asked each vlogger to promote their video via social media and also host a mini competition to drive engagement.

Alongside this vlogger campaign we also ran activity on Maximum Pop! and editorial and social outreach, in which we targeted teen lifestyle bloggers to help promote the show.

Execution

Over a period of weeks we leased with the talent and their managers to make sure the campaign was executed within specific timelines and to the Nickelodeon specifications.

Result

Over 145,800 views
Over 1200 entrants on the Nickelodeon website
75 entrants on the vloggers competitions
