The project was split into multiple phases, concentrating first on those that were business-critical, then adding more functionality later on. This allowed the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink to stagger the payments, and give each stage of the project a chance to be live on the web for a while, before judging feedback.
The site has a group system built in, which encourages participation by those in the industry, and gives the ability to share resources with just those people who need to know, keeping the discussions relevant. The site emails notifications when things get updated, so it keeps its users coming back for more.
A training course and training provider database lists all the information a prospective company might need, and the location search or category search facilities allow these companies to find the information that’s most relevant to them.
We have continued to work with the National Skills Academy for Food and Drink since the site’s launch, improving and refreshing the visuals on a number of areas, and introducing extra features like our very own Wildfire newsletter and email marketing system.
