To transform DC Leisure’s online proposition by designing and building a new website platform for 80+ leisure centres around the UK. Also to provide social media strategy and training. DC Leisure is owned by Places for People Group, an award-winning property management and development organisation.
We used Big Design Upfront principles to develop personas and goals, map key journeys, clarify site priorities, develop creative approach and on-board multiple stakeholders.
Leisure Centre Managers were an integral part of the project team throughout the Discovery stage to maximise local insights. Key site features included find-a-leisure-centre, 360-degree virtual tours, timetables, membership sign-up, local control of news and promotion, photo galleries for facilities and social integration.
Social media consultancy shaped Facebook and Twitter strategies followed by a programme of social media training sessions with leisure centre managers up and down the country.
So far DC Leisure have seen their sites achieve a 28 per cent visit uplift, 6.6million site visits per annum and 51per cent new visits.
