Captify

Digital advertising technology company Captify use recruitment agency Inspiring Interns to source its graduate intake. Inspiring Interns explain how they’ve made the recruitment process more efficient.

The Challenge

When Adam Ludwin co-founded Captify, their team had to be extremely cost-conscious. They started to look at interns as a way of growing the team with people they felt they could mould into the Captify image, people they thought would really grasp digital marketing, whilst staying hungry and eager to learn.

Having tried to keep costs down by using job boards to search for interns, Adam soon realised that so much of his team’s time was taken up looking through irrelevant CVs and interviewing candidates who didn’t match their culture.

“We decided to outsource this process to Inspiring Interns and it was one of the best decisions we’ve made,” said Adam. “Running a start-up, we had so many important things to be doing at any one time and Inspiring Interns’ assistance helped free us up to focus on servicing clients’ needs, confident in the knowledge that Inspiring would be sending our team quality applicants that we could see in a short video CV who were well-matched to Captify.”

The Strategy

At Inspiring Interns, we focus on sending our clients a shortlist of relevant, interested candidates with video CVs within 48 hours. We do all the hard work at graduate fairs, at universities, online and everywhere in between to tell candidates about opportunities with our clients’ organisations.

We were therefore able to take the hassle out of Captify’s hiring process by conducting preliminary interviews, filming video CVs and conducting psychometric/personality testing. We organised interviews with Captify and ultimately arranged a start date with the successful candidate.

Over the last three years, Captify has hired 16 graduates through Inspiring Interns and 12 have stayed on full-time. Of the few that didn’t make the grade with Captify, all found really good jobs on the back of their three month internship. The graduates’ experience at Captify was rewarding and helped to shape their careers.

The graduates hired by Captify through Inspiring Interns have worked across a range of departments across the business including account management, ad operations, digital design and finance.

Through delivering consistently high quality graduates to Captify in a short space of time, we were able to continue servicing Captify’s graduate intake requirements and help Captify to keep up with demand and ensure their growth wasn’t hampered by a lack of quality talent.

The Results

Captify’s partnership with Inspiring Interns has allowed their organisation to grow from two founders to around 40 staff with international campaigns and international offices, servicing the world’s largest brands. Captify now have hundreds of campaigns live each month and the business is experiencing well over 100 per cent growth, year on year. Indeed, Captify is one of the fastest growing digital media businesses in the UK and the only company in Europe to specialize in Search Retargeting. Co-founders Adam Ludwin and Dom Joseph were recently named young entrepreneurs of the year at the Great British Entrepreneur awards.

Inspiring Interns’ lightning-fast service connects Captify with pre-screened graduates that they know are going to fit the Captify mould. This has not only enabled them to hire at scale, but at speed as well.
