Bateaux London Website Sets Sail

Award-winning digital agency, Reckless, has launched a new website for London’s premier Thames dining cruise, Bateaux London.

Reckless, who also have offices in London and Paris, migrated Bateaux to Drupal 8 to drive higher levels of traffic and conversion.

Designed and built to create a more engaging and interactive web experience, the new site not only improves the customer experience, but vastly improves data capture and lead generation.

Managing Director of Reckless, Callum Reckless said “We worked closely with Bateaux and the wider Sodexo team to transform their digital assets. We kept a clear focus on user experience, conversion on mobile devices and ongoing customer engagement.”

Within 10 days of launch, Bateaux London enjoyed a 400 per cent increase in the number of mobile transactions, a 219 per cent increase in the e-commerce conversion rate and a 60 per cent increase in the number of users interacting with the site all on mobile devices.

Since its launch the site has enjoyed significant uplift all of which has provided Bateaux with a welcomed boost to revenue.

Overall, conversion rate has increased by 26.43 per cent. This resulted in a 44.85 per cent increase in overall revenue, equal to £86,271.40. On mobile, conversion rate increased by 204.59 per cent, which resulted in a 351.26 per cent increase in mobile revenue, equal to £41,954.10.

We embarked on the search for a strategic partner to aid in the delivery of their new digital vision. Reckless had a clear understanding of our aims and objectives and the passion to deliver them. The new Bateaux site allows us to engage and connect with our customers like never before.  The Sodexo Group have been so impressed that Reckless have also been appointed to lead on a series of projects including the design and build of a new site for the Prestige Venues & Events arm of the group.”

The new site is the first of two stages in the brands long term digital marketing transformation.

Attention will now turn to the scoping and implementation of stage two projects which includes a mobile app and a major social media engagement campaign.
