M&C Saatchi Mobile

Whilst seeking executive candidates for a role at M&C Saatchi Mobile, Inspiring Search tackle the difficult challenge of finding the perfect new employee with efficiency and speed, while ensuring maximum employee retention. By focusing on a deep understanding of cultural needs from both client and candidate, they sourced the perfect candidate within 2 weeks.

Brief

Having placed over 50 members of M&C Saatchi Mobile through sister company Inspiring Interns, executive search agency Inspiring Search were tasked with finding them an experienced Marketing Coordinator. The remit was to find a dynamic, positive candidate able to manage time and budget with efficiency and communicate effectively company wide. The challenge was to ensure that by using sophisticated profiling, the successful candidate provided a perfect cultural and company fit. The key: retention.

Strategy

Having previously provided scores of young people for their graduate scheme, Inspiring Search had a keen understanding of the requirements; dynamic, effective, efficient and savvy. As the only recruitment agency in London with no sales team, Inspiring Search focus on peer recommendations, former graduates returning to the Inspiring Group, and effective, integrated marketing.

The strategy was to work within their existing partnerships to source the ideal candidate, run a series of sophisticated psychometric testing, and provide a high-level candidate, for this high level job.

Execution

The first step in the process is to achieve a deep understanding of the needs client-side. The team undertake extensive research both through client-side interviews and investigating all company output with a fine toothcomb. Once the research is complete, they produce a complete profile on the specific needs for the role. What makes Inspiring Search different is their ability to achieve an extensive understanding of the general business environment. This way, the final profile includes important business values to ensure a successful company culture fit.

Once the company profile is complete, Inspiring Search focused on using their extensive database to find the right candidates. After profiling, Search consultant Emma Telling spoke to Lauren South. Many recruitment companies focus so much on what the client wants, that they neglect the needs of the candidate, which leads to the big problem – employee retention.

“Emma took the time to meet with me and understand exactly what I was looking for in terms of the job specifications and work culture as well as making sure it was a fit for my personality,” Lauren says, “in fact, Emma was the only recruiter to ask about my personal hopes and ambitions.”

This is the key to Inspiring Search’s success. By asking the important questions about personality fit, they ensure that as much as the candidates might be perfect for the client, that the client is perfect for the candidate too. In the long run this is integral; it ensure the all-important goal of retention.

To back up their efforts, Inspiring Search offered a free 6 month rebate period with a free replacement or money back service in place.

“Our focus is always to save clients time and money,” says Inspiring Search CEO Ben Rosen, “our unique approach to recruitment and profiling allows us to find hires that companies themselves would never have sourced.” He adds, “As a result, our clients are always impressed with both the retention of their new employees, and the speed and efficiency with which we source them; it can often be as quick as 48 hours from us receiving the brief to finding the right candidate.”

Result

Lauren was hired by M&C Saatchi for their role, but how long did it take? Just two weeks. Inspiring Search always focus on an extensive approach, but the speed and efficiency of the service is what really makes them unique.
